Sun Thief – Book Review

Sun Thief, authored by Jamie Buxton is an Egyptian adventure story available on Mediakee, which is a platform where you can find various genre books with updated library. Sun Thief is a story of a boy who was plucked of the river Nile when he was a baby. He works at a local inn and makes plates and beakers out of mud and beautiful animals. He resides under the shadow of a pyramid which is ruled by a king. The king has banned all temples and gods for the people under his pyramid.

The story has a twist where a stranger enters and takes the boy to King Akenaten’s city where his talent is used to finish the sculpture of Queen Nefertiti’s head. The story takes a turn at this point where the stranger has been plotting something darker. This is a captivating thriller story for kids aged 10+ as well as for adults who are fond of thriller. However, the story keeps moving to different directions and the story of old gods inspired by Greek gods has been described more than necessary. This book gets catchy towards the end which makes the reader curious about “what will happen next”? Some part of the book is a bit scary as it states horrible history.

Thriller genre mostly brings a charm and curiosity to its readers and this book achieved the required curiosity to keep it engaging and worth a read. You can read more such books from various genres on Mediakee which is easy to sign up with friendly plans.
